Overview of the experimental design. (A) Gelatin hydrogels were modified with NHS-dPEG 12 -biotin and loaded with avidin to investigate biotin-avidin-mediated crosslinking. (B) Gelatin polymers were biotinylated by reaction with NHS-dPEG 12 -biotin via conjugation to primary amines on gelatin.
